Chelsea head to Southampton for today’s early Premier League kick-off.
It’s a huge match for both clubs with Chelsea trying to stay in the hunt for a a coveted Champions League place and Southampton looking to avoid relegation.
The home side currently sit in the bottom three and have lost their past three games.
Chelsea are also on a run of poor form having been lost and drawn their past two Premier League clashes.
Speaking ahead of the game Southampton manager Mark Hughes, said: “I sense along with a rise in confidence, there’s a bit of frustration after [the defeat at] Arsenal which can only be good for us. The players want to put that right against Chelsea.”
And with Southampton looking for a win at home Chelsea know this won’t be an easy game with head coach Antonio Conte, saying: “Southampton have great quality in their squad. It’s a great surprise to see them in this position.
“I consider them a squad with great quality and talented players. For this reason, we must pay great attention because it won’t be easy playing against them.”
