PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds next event mode kicks off this week on Miramar, and is live for just 72 hours.
Tequila Sunrise is a shotgun and melee weapons only mode, with squads of four battling it out on the Miramar map. Shotguns and melee weapons will spawn at three times the usual rate during the event, as will shotgun ammo. Additional tweaks for this event include a smaller initial safe zone, no care packages, and the time of day will be locked at sunrise.
The event will run for 72 hours only and goes live today at 7PM PDT/ 10PM EST April 5, and on April 6 at 4AM CEST / 5AM BST. It wraps up on April 8 at 7PM PDT / 10PM EST and on April 9 at 4AM CEST / 5AM BST.
Limited time event modes were announced for the game last month, with Flare Gun being the first real one to roll out after the initial test.
This week also saw the test of the new 4x4km map Codename: Savage, which is now closed. If you missed it, you can check out some gameplay from the map right here.
In other PUBG news, the devs have confirmed their plans for disabling keyboard and mouse support for console players in the interest of “fair gameplay.”
