Call of Duty WW2

WHAT IS IT:

Activision’s yearly first-person shooter franchise. This year though, the game has gone back to its roots with a campaign and multiplayer that focuses on WW2 rather than the past years, which have been heavily focused on futuristic Sci-Fi themes.

DAILY STAR REVIEW – 5/5

Call of Duty WW2 has brought a fresh take to the games campaign, multiplayer and zombies mode – making it comfortably the best we’ve played in a long, long time.

BEST PRICES:

• GAME – £49.99Click here to buy

• TESCO – £48Click here to buy

• ARGOS – £47.99 – Click here to buy

Splatoon 2

WHAT IS IT:

The sequel to Nintendo’s Wii U exclusive Splatoon and one of the rare third-person shooters that doesn’t need bullets, guns and blood for a good time. This is Nintendo’s way of offering a true shooter that’s suitable for a younger audience. With Splatoon 2 we return to the bonkers world of inklings, cartoon-looking human-cum-squid creatures who can transform from one to the other to traverse each map with their paint gun

DAILY STAR REVIEW – 5/5

Along with The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 is another must buy for Nintendo Switch owners.

• Amazon – £44.99Click here to buy

Star Wars Battlefront 2

WHAT IS IT:

Star Wars Battlefront 2 aims to be the ‘Titanfall 2’ of 2017 – a multiplayer only game at birth, that’s now been revamped for a sequel to offer its own single-player story mode too.

DAILY STAR REVIEW – 4/5

Star Wars Battlefront 2 may have generated a lot of fury around its (now fixed) microtransactions, but there’s no denying that this is one of the best Star Wars games ever made.

BEST PRICES:

• GAME – £49.99 – Click here to buy

• Amazon – £49.99Click here to buy

• Tesco – £49.99Click here to buy

Destiny 2

WHAT IS IT:

The sequel to Bungie’s epic sci-fi space shooter and while it’s familiar territory to the first game, most of the complaints have been ironed out and then some.

DAILY STAR REVIEW – 4/5

Destiny 2 seems – so far – to be the game the first promised to be, with a superior campaign, visuals and more. And given the amount of post-launch content, events and DLC Bungie throw at the series, you should be captivated by the game for years to come.

BEST PRICES:

• GAME – £29.99 – Click here to buy

• TESCO – £29 – Click here to buy

• ARGOS – £28.99 – Click here to buy

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus

WHAT IS IT:

One of the best shooters of the year, without question. There’s no multiplayer, but the campaign is top notch as you attempt to liberate America from the evil Nazi empire.

DAILY STAR REVIEW – 4/5

This game’s storyline is that good you won’t want to put it down. This is arguably the most gripping and addictive first-person shooter all year – you never get bored of killing Nazis!

BEST PRICES:

• GAME – £29.99Click here to buy

• TESCO – £40Click here to buy

• ARGOS – £36.09Click here to buy
