Legendary director James Cameron talks about how Disney buying his home studio Fox may affect the Avatar sequels.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Cameron was asked what it would mean to him if the movie studio was sold after reports claim that Disney and Fox are in talks.
“Probably not that much,” answered Cameron.
Camerons says he’s “always had a good relationship with Fox,” so any sale to Disney “wouldn’t be bad,” he explains.
He says Disney “actually at this point in time has a bigger investment” in the franchise than Fox.
Vanity Fair clarifies the director is referring in part to Disney World’s Pandora: The World of Avatar attraction which happens to have one of the best theme park rides ever.
The Avatar sequels finally began filming in September and will see Titanic star Kate Winslet and other new members join the cast.
