If your iPhone SE is due an upgrade there could be some good news coming your way soon.
Apple is expected to announce a major refresh to its budget iPhone with plenty of rumours speculating that the US technology firm will reveal all at its developers conference next month.
WWDC is where Apple shows off its new operating system updates including new features that will arrive on iOS, macOS and watchOS.
However, there’s always some new hardware revealed at WWDC with Apple using last year’s event to unveil new iPads, MacBooks and the HomePod smart speaker.
There’s no official word on what’s coming at this year’s conference but the iPhone SE 2 could take centre stage.
This popular budget device hasn’t been updated for over two years and it seems some big changes could be inbound.
There’s already been a few unoffical leaks which have shown a radical update to this device, but now a phone case firm may have given us our best look yet at this new iPhone.
Olixar are famous for showing off what’s to come long before official launch events and, if real, the new iPhone SE 2 looks pretty impressive.
The renders from Olixar show a phone with an all-screen design and notch similar to the flagship iPhone X.
This means the famous home button will be removed from this device as the screen covers the entire front of the phone.
With no physical button, the iPhone SE 2 could be the next Apple device to get Face ID technology which unlocks the device by simply looking at it.
There’s also a hint that the rear panel maybe made of glass which could indicate the iPhone SE 2 is getting wireless charging.
A single camera is shown in the renders so it seems the iPhone SE 2 won’t be getting a dual snapper.
Rumoured specs for the iPhone SE 2 include a waterproof build, A10 CPU with 2GB of RAM, 12MP rear camera and a 1,700 mAh battery. Pricing has not been mentioned.
Although some rumours have suggested a launch at WWDC there are also reports that the new SE will be unveiled in September alongside three other phones.
Apple is to release its largest phone yet in the iPhone XL that could feature a 6.5-inch OLED display with notch.
Also rumoured is a 6.1-inch LCD edge-to-edge notch display iPhone that could be an affordable big phone.
Finally there should be a refresh of the current 5.8-inch iPhone X.
