Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is released this October, that much is known, however, any further details about the possible direction Treyarch may be taking with this latest series outing is still a mystery.
Thankfully, fans only have to wait a few more weeks to find out more, as Activision will be revealing more at a community event on May 17th.
A similar event was hosted last year for Call of Duty WW2 at the BFI IMAX in London. However, UK retailed may have revealed a small bit of info about the forthcoming Black Ops 4 event.
Posting on Twitter, the retailer revealed that they will giving away a pair of tickets to the event – in LA – also paying for the winner’s flights and accommodation.
All fans need to do is pre-order a copy of the game before April 26th, which you can do so on the links underneath.

This is far from the last thing we’ll learn about the event in May, but this could be the start of a trickle of new information in the run-up to the full reveal.
While the competition is the main interest right now, it’s worth noting that for everyone else, that a reveal is likely to take place in the morning, meaning anyone in the UK is likely to be waiting until the early evening to get their first look at the new Call of Duty.
“If that [WW2] event is anything to go by, fans looking forward to Black Ops 4 can expect a reveal of Campaign mainly, but a short multiplayer section was also featured,” wrote Call of Duty experts at Dexerto.
“As for Zombies, WWII devs Sledgehammer kept that under wraps a little bit longer – until the E3 convention – and it is likely that if there is going to be a Zombies mode or similar in Black Ops 4, Treyarch may again keep fans wanting more by holding back on everything at the May reveal.”
It’s equally possible that fans may learn a few more details about a possible multiplayer beta for the game, which is likely to arrive earlier this year what with the games release date moving forward to ensure it didn’t clash with Red Dead Redemption.
It’s unlikely in our mind that anything will be announced for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered at the event, for two very good reasons.
Firstly, assuming that the original leak was correct in its estimations that the game would be released on Xbox One and PS4, then the game is due to arrive well before the May 17th event.
That original leaked retail listing had suggested that the games release date was set for April 30.
Of course, there’s the possibility that the ‘leak’ might have been nothing more than a placeholder date for Amazon.
Even still though, we doubt that Treyarch would be overly impressed with their thunder being stolen by the reveal of Modern Warfare Remastered. Especially with so much likely to be revealed from the Call of Duty event as well.
If the rumours of a Modern Warfare 2 remastered release is indeed legit, it seems far more likely that the game will be sprung on fans out of the blue with the sort of viral marketing strategy recently used by Activision to reveal Spyro’s recent remaster release.
